Children will enjoy free entry to Ngā Manu Nature Reserve on Te Rā O Ngā Tamariki (Children’s Day) and can take part in free  activities and storytelling sessions.
Bring a picnic and come and enjoy a fabulous family day out at Ngā Manu. Meet kākā, kākāriki, kea and whio in the walk-through aviaries, spot kiwi in the nocturnal house and see the eels being fed at 2pm. There will be storytelling sessions in our forest circle setting throughout the day (11am, 1pm and 3pm) along with Kākāriki Nature Play activities (whittling and flax rope making) in between storytelling sessions until 4pm. We shall also have colouring activities in Robin’s Nest (make a weta puppet, butterfly or bird mask or a chatterbox). Our local Countdown supermarket are also providing tasty snacks that we’ll be giving away throughout the day!
T&Cs: Free entry for children (aged 0 – 17 years) with a paying adult.
Adult tickets are $12 and $10 for SuperGold Card holders.
COVID ANNOUNCEMENT: In level 2 we are open for visits as usual, taking all precautions to keep you safe. Please be kind, remember to sign in or scan upon entry and if you’re feeling unwell, please stay home. Thank you.
