Overnight Wildlife Adventure

Stay overnight at Nga Manu on our new Overnight Wildlife Adventure Package. Your stay includes a night in the Reserve cottage and a ranger-led bird tour. You choose between the Kiwi Night Encounter or the Native Bird Close Encounter.

What you get in this package:

• Pricing options for 1 or 2 adult families (which comes with up to 2 children for both)
• Pricing options for your choice of bundling your stay with either a Kiwi Night Encounter OR Native Bird Close Encounter (children must be aged 7+ for both)
• An overnight stay in the Reserves self-contained wooden lodge (Theo’s Cottage) situated inside the nature reserve
• Have the Reserve to yourself after hours
• Do a night time forest walk
• Unlimited Reserve entry during your stay
• Late check out at 11am

Terms and conditions:

• A night in Theo’s Cottage automatically includes unlimited admission to the Reserve and late check out of 11am
• Kiwi Night Encounter child must be aged 7+ and accompanied by an adult
• The accommodation and Kiwi Night Encounter must be taken on the same overnight package and is dependent on availability.
• The Kiwi Night Encounter is reliant on volunteer guides and can only be guaranteed pending their availability. Runs at dusk so timing moves with the seasonal changes
• The Native Bird Close Encounter must be taken the next day after the accommodation booking.
• The Native Bird Close Encounter runs at 11am daily.
• Seasonal pricing applies. These prices are superseded during the September ’23 School Holidays (22 Sept – 8 October 2023) with the special KIDS GO FREE
• Adults are aged 18+
• Super GoldCard, Community Service Card holders and Students are considered an adult for the purpose of this package.
• Both tours and accommodation must be booked in advance to guarantee availability.
