What types of celebrations can we hold at Ngā Manu?

Robin’s Nest is available for a range of private celebrations, including birthdays, anniversaries, family gatherings, milestone occasions and other special events.

How many people can Robin’s Nest accommodate?

Robin’s Nest can accommodate up to 90 guests, depending on the type and layout of your event. We can help you work out the best use of the indoor and outdoor spaces for your group.

Can we use the outdoor areas as well as Robin’s Nest?

Yes. One of the things that makes Robin’s Nest special is its setting beside the pond, with a private lawn, deck and surrounding native forest.

The outdoor areas can be incorporated into your celebration.

Can we bring our own food and caterer?

Yes. We can provide information about catering options and what is possible for your particular event.

Can we bring our own drinks or alcohol?

Yes, so long as it is not for sale. Nga Manu supports host responsibility. 

Can we decorate Robin’s Nest for our celebration?

Yes, you can add your own decorations and personal touches, subject to our guidelines. Because Robin’s Nest is within a nature reserve, we ask that decorations are environmentally friendly, do not disturb wildlife and are completely removed after your event.

Is parking available for our guests?

Yes, on-site parking is available for guests attending events at Robin’s Nest.
We can provide further information about parking and access when you make your booking.

Can we add a Ngā Manu experience to our event?

Yes! It's a great way to make the most of the Reserve and give your guests an experience that's uniquely connected to the place.

What time does our event need to finish?

Events need to finish and guests need to have left the Reserve by midnight.
