Nga Manu Nature Reserve is based in Waikanae, Wellington and is one of the Kapiti Coasts popular attractions.

Ngā Manu offers a unique opportunity to see kiwi up close as they explore, feed and interact with one another. Every evening presents a new episode in the lives of our birds. The encounter begins in our Visitor Centre where your guide will give a presentation about kiwi in general and our involvement with the national captive programme. As night falls we’ll escort you to seating in our covered observation area in the outdoor kiwi enclosure. For the next 40 minutes you will be mesmerized as you enter into the world of kiwi and see behaviour which few get to observe.

Minimum age: 7 years (children under 14 require adult accompaniment; adult booking rate applies)
